So today on this beautiful Sunday, I thought I'd put up a poem I wrote for a story that I never got around to writing. It's called Ghost Tears. It was about this girl who would constantly cry these tears no one could see. She could also change the color of her eyes each time she blinked. She could also summon creatures through a mirror depending on the color of her eyes. But eventually she would go blind from all the crying even though she has to use her tears to save the world.
Sometime during the story she would stumble upon this poem talking about how the last person to have the tears lost the power and how the world afterwards was like, real
ly terrible.
So here's the poem.
Enjoy!
----------------------------------------
You can hear her
Sobbing aloud
Yes there she is
Standing proud
Her tears fall
Like a hurricane
Tearing apart
The wild plain
Shining droplets
Silver diamonds
None can be found
Upon a mountain
Look out
Fore her fire
Or you will be building
Your own pyre
There she cries
Standing alone
Her beloved gone
And no child to hold
And deep into
the darkest night
Those dreams of hers
Will never take flight
Like a button
Pushed to destruction
For her own
Persacution
So beware
The tears of lore
Or they will burn you
To your core
Once upon a time
She was alight
But never again
She'll see a sight
She'll never see
Until the end
But there's one way
Never again
"Never again!"
She declares
Inside her heart
Begins to flare
"Someone will take this
away from me.
Sooner or later
I'll finally see."
The tears begin to pour
From the fire in her heart
There will be a way
A new way to start
Once lost
Never found
Forever she'll see
On the ground
She'll never fly
It was never an option
So why is this
Part of the question?
Never seeing
She could fly
She could imagine
Imagine why
And how it
Might be like
To see a morning
A sunrise light
But now she sees
And now she knows
So darkness will
Never close
She'll never wonder
What it'd be like
If she had seen
A sun set into night
Now she's seen it
Now she knew
What else is there world?
You hold a few
To think what
It might be keen
To wonder what
You would've seen
If your eyes had been
Forever shut
That feeling you
Could never touch
Now you've gained
Both your eyes
Now you're blind
To that surprise
The one's you had
Will never return
After that lesson
What have you learned?
What the world
Would've been like
If you hadn't gone
And lost your sight?
The sight where
Your creations
Stood apart
From real life mutations

Oh, thank goodness. It's finally over.
That was a lot to type.
And read.
;)
Also, I came up with the title for the new story, the sequel to Sos. It's called School of Aurous (aurous means gold or brightness). Just letting you know.
:)
By the way, I took that picture. Yeah, aimed the camera at the sun. Probably not the smartest of moves.
Alrighty then, that's it.
Laterz!
