Generation WizBot -- Part Two -- circuit dreams

Post Part One: I've never been more FRUSTRATED or ANNOYED in my life!!

So I've been playing Dragon Quest IX (DQIX) a lot lately. Right now my MAIN objective is to get the last vocation (luminary). I have to defeat this monster etc etc, but that's not the hard part. The hard part is finding the stupid monster (a minstrel moai).
So I cheat on these things and I search youtube and google for where I can find them. I had already figured that you HAD to find them in grotto's (underground tunnel places, the flooded ones are my favorite). But I didn't realize the grotto level had to be so HIGH!!
Minstrel moai's are always around King Metal Slimes so if you find one you find the other. My highest level grotto right now is a level 53. A grotto I know has a KMS and is a level 68.
>.<
I searched google about it and some absolute genius came up with this scenario:

" So using Terence's topic and the strategy guide, if your Hero's Level plus the level of your best map is between 101 and 120 (ie Level 58 Hero+Level 53 Map as an example) you can find Metal King Slimes and Moai Minstrels BUT the grotto MUST be

-Water
-9+ floors
-have King Cureslimes, Dark Skeletons, Barbatos, etc on the first floor.

Also, the absolute minimum level of the map is 40 (which is pretty unlikely)

So you can check the maps easily by looking for Marsh, Lake, Moor, Crypt, Waterway, and World in the title.

It must also be Copper, Bronze, Steel, Silver, Gold or Platinum so you can further filter your list of candidate maps

Once you've idenitifed a candidate all you have to do is pop in and see if it has the right enemies. If it does, go down and hope you get to floor 9 without reaching the boss. If you do, you should have a Metal King (and Moai Minstral) map. "

(found here).
So I knew I had a map that fit that description. I'm a level 58 right now so it HAD to work.
Steel Lake of Fear, level 53.
I've already beaten this grotto. And it fit the description.
- water
- 9+ floors (it had 11)
- KCS and Dark Skeletons on first floor.
- 58(my level) + 53(grotto level) = 111
- has 'lake' in name.
- has 'steel' in name.
The problem? No barbatos on first floor.
* glares at DS *
I reach floor 10 of map. Nothing new. I reach floor 11. Nothing new. Then the boss at the end. But what I find even MORE annoying is that you can go into a level 40 something grotto and find some totally new and crazy monster (Darkonium Slime, Octagoon, Canibelle etc are ones I've found). When it SHOULD be the other way around. A level 50 map should have new monsters but NOOOOOO!
>:(
One of the comments on that post link, the very last one, that I found useful was this:

" I began yesterday with my level 54 characters delving into a level 53 grotto looking for what you specified and last night just before bed I aquired a Silver Crypt of Fear Lv. 50. Well, I delved into it today and it was a Water Grotto and everything was turning out perfect (right quality of monsters and all). So, once I hit the 9th floor, I ran into Moai Minstrels and Metal Kings. "
(found here).
Level 50. Really?
So now I have two maps that I KNOW have KMS and minstrel moai's:
- Silver Crypt of Fear, level 50
- Steel Moor of Evil, level 68
And now I have to find them.
Honestly, one's closer than the other.Level 50? I don't even HAVE a level 50. My grotto levels just go: 48, 49, 52, 53.

:P
So....... I'm gonna go search some level 40 grotto's and see if I can get any good maps (you get a new grotto map when you defeat the boss at the end). Bronze Lair of Doubt, level 47, here I come.

Post Part Two: now to the important stuff...
So here is part two of GWB. If you guess that it's unedited you'd be correct. I don't have my lap top so I'm stuck with the netbook but I had put GWB onto a google docs. But docs is super hard to handle on a netbook and my edited stuff is on another computer.
* sigh *
But besides that, let's get this show on the road shall we...?

--------------------------------------------------

Part Two: circuit dreams
Fallon Willowstone
We decided on a quick story before we left. Since I was staying at Llewella’s she didn’t have enough food to last the time we had to stay in our homes. So we were gonna ask her mom, Lacy Jade, to give us some food. Llewella was then gonna pick up some clothes she left at home. While I was helping Mrs. Jade find food, Llewella would look for the Moon Diamond and Lethal Grass.
We made sure to leave time to do it before her dad got home, Lucas Nightgrave. If he got suspicious about anything in the Spiral, he was the one who planted Invisible Scouts. He sort of worked as the “police” of the Spiral. He might stay out late anyway having to deal with the weird monster going around and everything.
We teleported to the commons and dashed to the Shopping District. Once there we pounded on the Llewella’s former house door. As soon as we heard the locks unclick we burst in and slammed the door behind us.
Mrs. Jade started at us stunned. “What are you doing here? You’re supposed to stay inside! You better hope the Headmaster doesn’t find out about this!” I have to say I love Mrs. Jade. She doesn’t really act her age per say. She’s really easy going and when she does punish Llewella, or me, it’s minor.
I know mom. But here’s the deal. The monster was in Fallon here’s house. So the Headmaster told her to stay with me and I don’t have enough food to last the month and stuff for both of us. So we were hoping you could lend us some. And I have to pick up those cloths you washed for me the other day,” Llewella said. I just nodded.
Mrs. Jade looked from her daughter to me and back to her daughter and back to me. Finally she nodded. “Alright. Llewella, go get your clothes. Fallon dear come give me hand in the kitchen. I have no idea what you like.”
Great!” Llewella said cheerfully. She dashed up stairs and I follow Mrs. Jade to the kitchen. We rummaged around in the pantry. The place was choke full of food and we could barely find anything. We eventually pulled out two jars of jam, butter, peanut butter, and jelly.
By then Llewella came back down carrying a huge bag stuffed full of clothes. Mrs. Jade looked up from the counter where she was molding meat into a preservative bag. “Do you really need all that? I didn’t think I washed that much.”
You didn’t. But I thought that Fallon left all her extra clothes at her house, which she can’t go back too. So I got some of my extra clothing,” answered Llewella.
Or you needed more padding for the Moon Diamond and Lethal Grass, I thought to myself.
She then helped me and Mrs. Jade back some bread and cookies then she sent us on our way. Thankfully before Mr. Nightgrave got home.
Llewella teleported home and I teleported to her. “Did you get it?” I asked as soon as we were inside.
Yeah. Mom and dad have like, ten Moon Diamonds. And I found like, sixteen bundles of twelve Lethal Grasses. I didn’t know they had so many! Surely Ambrose knows about that!”
I gaped at her. “Seriously? Why did he say there was none of it or it was inaccessible?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know. But now we need to get the eye of newt and tongue of the sphinx. To Arthur Weathers field!” She headed for the door.
Wait. Stop!” I grabbed her sleeve. “I don’t think we should go to him. If Ambrose knows I still have the page, which I think he does, he may know we will try to make the protection spell.”
Well, then, where can we go? Everyone else in the Spiral is blocked off. I tried going to Dragonspyer and the door didn’t open.”
I know a way to get to Krokotopia. I think Alhazred, the Balance teacher, would have some right?”
True but how to get there.”
Well, I have a left over temp key.”
A temp key? Why would you need that? And why do you have one?”
You remember the time I dated that kid Marcus Fireflame?”
Yeah.”
Well, he was a higher level than me. He wanted to take me to Mooshu but I wasn’t there yet. So he gave me a temp key.”
Alright. But the keys don’t work. Ambrose put up a restriction spell on all of them.”
Nope. Temp keys are spell immune. Ambrose was worried wizards would find a way to make the temp keys rework so they aren’t just used once. They’re spell repellant so no one can do anything to them. This means they can open the door.”
Genius Fallon!”
We raced to the Spiral Door. I inserted the key and said, “Krokotopia.” I pulled the door open and the hot dry air of the desert met us. I held the door open and Llewella slipped through before it banged shut.
We walked out into the Oasis to find it empty. Not a Mander, nor Marlybonian to be found.
Perhaps they’re all hiding,” suggested Llewella.
Maybe. Let’s check the Krokosphinx.” We headed to the boat. No Mander. “Guess we have to drive it ourselves.”
Llewella just looked scared. We climbed aboard and I let the rope go. We started to drift. I heaved at the winged sails and we picked up speed heading to Krokotopia’s second island.
Slow down, slow down!” screamed Llewella. I yanked on the brake but it was too late. The boat rammed into the side of the island and sand poured down into the boat and down into nothingness.
Jump!” I yelled. We jumped just as the boat reached the point of no return. We would’ve been suspended in air for a whole moth!
We get up from our face plants and walk over to the ladder going down into the Balance School.
Let’s hope they’re down there,” mutter Llewella.
Yeah,” I respond.
We climb down the ladder. I keep forgetting how considerably cooler it is down here than up in the sun. We all come face to face with about 50 Manders.
Whoa,” I mutter. Llewella nods.
Who are you to come here? You have made a daring decision,” says the child like voice of an orange Mander.
We are here for an eye of newt and tongue of the sphinx. We wish to protect the Spiral from the monster that is rampaging it.”
The Mander nods. “I believe Alhazred has some.” The Manders part and we walk up to the old Krok.
You need eye of newt and tongue of the sphinx?” he says in a raspy voice.
I nod. “Yes. We wish to protect the Spiral from the monster.”
He nods. “I will give you the regents you need.” He goes to his desk and pulls out two jars. One has marble size green things in it. I’m guessing newt eyes. The other holds hand long slimy looking things. Probably the sphinx tongues.
I grimace. “Uh, thanks.” Alhazred puts each hand into the jars and pulls out one of each, eye and tongue. He holds out his hands and I grudgingly take each. I try not to pay attention to the clammy, cold, slimy texture of each.
I could hear Llewella snickering behind me. “Thanks,” I say again and turn around. “Let’s get outta here,” I mutter. She nods and teleports away. I follow. “Yuck, ew, yuck, ew yuck, ew, yuck, ew!” I dropped the eye and tongue on the table with the diamond and grass. “That was nasty!”
Llewella just can’t stop laughing. I glare at her. She finally catches her breath and says, “Ok. All we have left is the shield. But what about the Balance shield?”
Already thought of that. We can use a Tower Shield. It activates for all spells. Which means it is a Balance shield of sorts.”
Alright. But how do we get them in solid form?”
You remember that day last year that you missed?”
Yeah.”
On that day we learned a spell that can make any spell a solid form but it kept its magical properties. It’s just a storm spell, called Ahlife, but it works on all spells.”
Oh cool! Show me show me!”
First we need the cards.” I got out a Tower Shield, death, myth, and storm shield. Llewella got out a life, ice, and fire shield. I taught her the spell and soon seven solid, magical shields were on the table.
Well, let’s mix ‘em!” declared Llewella. She grabs a large pot and we threw all the regents in. We needn’t have worried about mixing. The ingredients glowed a soft gold then morphed into a silver liquid.
Sweet,” I mutter.
We find paintbrushes then do a rough line around Llewella’s home. By the time that is done, it is twilight and we are both very tired.
How do we get to the other worlds to do this?” says Llewella through a yawn.
I yawn too before answering. “I have more temp keys. It’ll take a while though.”
Alright. Let’s get to bed.”
Agreed.”
We fall asleep surprisingly fast. And thankfully I don’t get an uneasy feeling. But I still sleep restlessly.
***
I’m walking in a giant room. It is all dark except for criss crossing neon blue lines that pulse with light evenly.
The ground seems to be made of glass. I can only see the lines all around me and above me the ceiling is black. I have no idea, which way I am heading.
I suddenly notice that in the corners of each criss cross, that form boxes, there are little neon yellow numbers. The ones I notice first are +42, +43, +44, and +45. I look to the box to the right of that to see +46, +47, +48, and +49 in the corners. I go up a box to see the numbers, +567, +568, +569, and +570. Which must mean that right here it is the 570th box. That’s a lot of boxes. And the +’s must mean they’re… positive?
I keep walking.
Past the 600’s. Past the 700’s. Past the 1,000’s. Past the 10,000,00’s. Finally I come to a box that has no numbers. In fact there is no box. The sides are all blank. The boxes on either side of it have only  three sides not four. A red dot flickers in the center.
The space here seems very empty.
However there are still little numbers but they have little minus signs next to them.   –759,847,837,748,057, –759,847,837,748,058, –759,847,837,748,059,                            –759,847,837,748,060. Long numbers but they’re negative according to the –‘s.
Is this box defective or something?
Suddenly the red dot begins to flicker. Slow at first, then faster. I step back. The red dot vanishes and so do the blue lines and yellow numbers. I’m plunged into total darkness.
Then a blinking white bar appears. It blinks a few times then a tapping noise. Letters appear one by one to make the following words:
Hello Fallon Willowstone
I gasp and step back. The words vanish. Darkness again besides the blinking white bar. Then more tapping and more letters appear.
Welcome to the Circuit Board
I’m thrust out of the dream, my breath gone. I feel a cold sweat on my brow and back. Way too hot, I kick back a few blankets.
What was that? That place? It was like nothing I had ever seen before. The blue lines and numbers and the red dot and then the words! It was unnatural and out worldly.
I thought of what my mom used to say to me whenever I had a bad dream. Her voice echoed in my mind now. Remember my Claredelscia. Dreams are just your mind wandering into other worlds. Don’t be scared. It’s just a picture. But the picture is worth a thousand words. Dreams are messages. Even the scariest ones. Listen to them.”
Alright mom, I thought. What can this mean?
But all I could really focus on was what the last white words had said. Welcome to the Circuit Board. What was a circuit board? Sounded like a technical term for something. A place perhaps?
I had no idea.

So.
How was it??

Now, I have to go and finish my homework if I'm to find that grotto!!

So I Thought I Should Hurry Up And Get A Post Up Here

Wow, that's a lot of capitalizing. Oh well. Happy Wednesday everyone!! Midterms are over and I actually didn't stress over them as much as I thought I would.

:)

80's in practically every subject. So I didn't fail!!

Anyway, my friend got me into Naruto and I'm already on chapter 215. Crazy right? Anyway, just half an hour ago I was freaking out over this one part where enemies were suddenly allies.
EPIC!!

Yeah. You should read it.
Not that I'm forcing you.
Okay naming time! (Right to left): Temari (giant fan beats sound waves), Kankuro (uses puppet to demolish enemies), and finally the originally most evil of them all, Gaara (controls sand, who wouldn've thought!!??).

Anyway, this blog is not about manga, it's about Wizard101. I haven't been on lately but I've sorted out some of the plot for the second and third parts for Generation WizBot.
Finding the Five Bands (FFB) and School of Shadow (SoS) is more or less sorted out. Now all I've gotta do is actually write them.

I'm still kind of stuck on how to start FFB. I've tried three different times. But it's difficult to start a story from the perspective of a servant girl in a castle with a snooty princess. But I definintly KNOW how I end it.

:)

So.... I'm working on it.

...

Whoa... heackhounds that's awesome......

This is the piece I was doing for the NaNoWriMo. But besides that...... my theme is the black purple thing. So it affects the background when I type too.

Weird.

Anyway, I got to go. Reading.
:)

Heh Heh ...

So I got a new header.
I know it says 'National Gepgraphic' at the bottom so I don't really know whether or not that's copy righting.......... I mean, I'm not exactly set up with a bunch of blog-header-computer-design-software or something.
:/

Anyway, GWB part one is in the last post if anyone cares. I know I said I'd get part two up today but a certain someone (guess who) is on my laptop.

Sorry guys.

But I did come up with a cool idea. School of Shadow shall become GWB book three. I'll have to change it a little given the fact that it takes place 200 some-odd years after the last which takes place 233 years after the first.

Anyway, I've got a blurb up for GWB book one. I'll work on getting blurbs up for books two and three also. And a fourth may be coming.......
C:

Anyway, check it out if you've got a minute.
And wish me luck on midterms.

Generation WizBot -- Part One -- system failure

Yeah, that;s right.
=)

So, not entirely edited, but yeah. Here's part one.
Enjoy!

---------------------------------------------

Part One: system failure
Fallon Willowstone
I feel as though my world is collapsing in on me. Like nothing is going right. Well, of course nothing is going right! I’m stuck in a strange world and forever trapped here. I can never go back to the world I once knew. Not to mention anything about that world is what I thought. What everyone thought.
Everything I knew was wrong.
So there is only one thing I can do: to save the world I’m in. Sounds simple enough. If only the things I had to defeat were monsters and the people I had to talk to were ghosts. That would be normal. And easy.
Wait, perhaps I should back up. Why and how am in this strange world? And after that, why can’t I go back to mine?
***
Grace Star
I can’t remember much. I mean, it happened so fast, what do you expect me to think? One minute I was on a blimp going to Chelsea Court in Marlybone, the next I was falling through the sky and landing splat on the road.
I remember a noise though.
Schukchp.
There it was, but far off and traveling away.
I saw an orange glow off in the distance and blurry shapes were rushing around me. I thought I should heal myself. I’m a Life Wizard after all. But I couldn’t move. Couldn’t see. Could barely hear and definitely not feel anything.
There must have been so much pain my body had gone numb. I tried to blink back blackness but that didn’t work.
I thought of Sierra Spellspinner who had been riding with me. And Matt Goldcoin, her little brother. They must be hurt too. The whole blimp had sort of… exploded.
I decided I should just wait. Someone would find me. Us. Heal us. We would be fine.
Just waiting…
Waiting…
Wait…ing…
***
Sierra Spellspinner
I screamed and buried my head in my mother’s arms. I couldn’t believe it. I just couldn’t believe it. Grace was not dead. If anyone I should be dead. Why had it been Grace?
Grace Star, level 23 Theurgist, lay motionless on the white bed. Not so white anymore. Moolinda Wu and Angelia, assistant healer, had spent all night trying to save her.
I had been on the blimp, but had fallen in a pond, suffering only some major burns, easily saved by a simple ice spell. Matt had teleported to a friend to help them just before the explosion.
Angelia said they had found Grace on the road in Regents Square, barely alive.
The whole event was all anyone talked about. Most people thought it was Malistaire’s fault, but why would he do such a thing? It was minor. Besides the fact someone died. Others thought it was just an accidental prank some wizard had played.
But no matter who had done it or what had caused it Grace was dead and no one could change that.
I sob into my mother’s coat, not wanting to look at the blood coated, dirt covered, burned up face of my former best friend.
***
Erica Dragonflame
It was a sunny day in Mooshu. Well, it was always nice in Mooshu. I love it here. I get sick of the other worlds pretty quickly like Marlybone.
I checked my quest book while blaming the scenery for why I forgot I was here.
Great, I have to kill the Death Oni. Well, I may as well get it over with. I’m an ice wizard so I think I can survive this. All I know is that getting to him is the hard part.
About an hour later I slowly approach the Death Oni, very confident. I saved a potion bottle so I used that before I rushed into battle.
But as I run towards him the Death Oni vanishes. I stop. Where had he gone?
“Ouch!” I cry out. I land on my butt slipping on some water. I stand up and look around. My steps echo on the floor as I walk around. Was this some kind of trick? What was happening?
I sighed and decided it wasn’t worth it. I teleported home. I was wrapped in a white blue mist with little ice symbols. I was thrust down the familiar tunnel of darkness as I prepared to be landed at my house.
Schukchp.
The Death Oni room reappeared.
I looked around confused. I was in the same place. Why was I in the same place? And why was the water rising? And what was that noise?
I walk over to a gap in the wall to look at the channel of water running around the dueling place. Yes. It was rising. But why? It lapped against my feet, getting my shoes all wet.
Ugh, good thing I have my own house now. Mom would have a fit if I came home with wet shoes.
But my feet were getting kind of cold. I stood on one foot and tried to squeeze some water out of it.
“Aaahhhh!” I slipped and fell splash into the water. I struggled to keep my head above but something was pulling me down. I groped for the edge but what my fingers found just slipped out of my grasp.
Schukchp.
Slowly I was pulled down. My lungs felt on fire and my eyes stung from keeping them closed shut. The last thing I wanted to do was open them.
Why was I sinking? It was water, I should float!
What is the…
Meaning of…
This…

Fallon Willowstone
“Can you believe it?” I look up from my homework. I was over at my friend’s house Friday evening. Llewella Rubywater slammed the newspaper down on the table. It sent a few papers flying. “Another one! Another death!”
“Who?” I ask.
“Some ice wizard. Erica Dragon-something-or-other.”
I sigh. Thankfully no one I knew. “That’s too bad. That’s two right?”
“Yeah. Erica was found drowned in the Death Oni dungeon. They’re totally canceling questing for a month! Can you believe that?”
I shook my head. “No I can’t.” No questing? Now I was never going to level! And I was so close to level 48; I was about to learn Storm Lord!
Llewella and I were both storm wizards in Dragonspyer, both level 47, both 15 years old, and both about ready to die to learn Storm Lord. We were the deadly duo in dueling. We haven’t lost a battle since we teamed up in Mooshu.
And now that dream was delayed a month.
“So much for learning Storm Lord! We were so close! And then these people had to just go and die! Why is Ambrose canceling questing! Can’t someone drown in the Commons? Or trip down some stairs?” exclaims Llewella.
“Well I think he did it because both accidents were totally unnatural. The blimps have magic on them so they shouldn’t explode. And water doesn’t drag you under according to the Invisible Scout.” Invisible Scouts were sort of the spies of the Spiral. They were in all the dungeons where teachers can’t go with students.
“It’s still unfair,” she mumbles.
I brush a strand of purple hair out of my eyes. “Cheer up. At least it wasn’t us or anyone we knew. We can wait a month to get Storm Lord.”
“We don’t really have a choice do we.”
We finish our homework, by then its twilight and I have to go home. We say goodbye and I teleport to my home, my Massive Fantasy Palace. I make sure no bugs have infested my garden then go inside.
I give my pets some food then go down the transparent wall to my room. I let Zeus, my adult fierce hound, climb on to my bed while I get some pj’s on.
I shiver as a feeling of unease settles on my back. I stand still for a moment, listening. I expect to hear the low growl of a monster or the tap, tap, tap or claws. Or perhaps the trickle of water coming to drown me or the rolling of a bomb to explode me.
But I hear nothing. I sigh and shake away the feeling. It was silly. I climb into bed but don’t fall asleep.
The feeling keeps coming back.
After about an hour of restlessness I stand up. I pick up Zeus who whines in protest and bring him to the pet room. I drop him off there, go downstairs, grab the spare mattress, pull it up stairs and set it down under the big oak table. I feel instantly better surrounded by pets.
And I fall asleep pretty quickly.
Schukchp.
My eyes snap open.
Schukchp.
I look around. The sound is faint but there is something in my house that shouldn’t be there.
Schukchp.
I slowly sit up. The pets are in the corner of the room growling in the direction of the downstairs stairwell.
Schukchp.
I make my way to the transparent wall. I pass through it just as a black clad figure stomps up the stairs.
Schukchp.
I cover my mouth and try not to gasp. The creature is about the size of a middle-aged man. He was dressed entirely in black, but the clothing seemed to be more like mummy wrappings than a shirt or pants. And it clung to him like a second skin.
Schukchp.
But what really startled me, and what must be the culprit of the noise, was his nose. Or his mouth. It was hard to tell. Because a large snort about three feet long came from the middle of his face, just below two white marbles that must be eyes. It was narrow but then bulged out at the end like a bell.
Whenever it went–
Schukchp.
–The bell end vibrated.
I backed away until I hit the cold wall. Then I turned and fled down the hall way as silently as I could. Frightened tears pushed at my eyes but I blinked them back.
What was that thing?
Schukchp.
Fallon.
I skidded to a halt and tried not to breathe too loudly. Who had said my name?
Fallon!
I breathed a sigh of relief. It was only Llewella whisper chatting me. I would’ve known that had I not been so paranoid.
What? I responded.
Did you hear the Proclamation?
Huh? No. I just woke up.
Oh. Some novice told Ambrose that they saw some creepy person in black. So Ambrose declared that everyone has to stay in his or her houses.
I rushed to my closet and hid myself in there.
Schukchp.
Well, I might have to break that proclamation. Seeing as that thing is in my house right now!
Wand twisters! Quick, teleport to me now!
Schukchp.
I found Llewella Rubywater on my friend list and teleported to her. She had the Sultans Palace. I met by a blast of heat and rough sand. Faster than I thought wizardly possible I disabled anyone teleporting to me, whisper chatting me, and being able to track my teleportation.
I sat still, catching my breath.
“Fallon! Are you ok? Are you sure you saw it?”
I nodded. “It… it was black. Like that… other wizard said it looked like… I-I’m fine.”
“Merlin’s beard Fallon you must’ve had a scare. We have to tell Ambrose it can get to island houses!”
Llewella vanished in a puff of purple gray smoke and storm symbols with a crack like pop. I followed in suit. We dashed into Ambrose’s house.
“Fallon! Llewella! What are you doing here? Did you not hear the Proclamation?” demanded Ambrose as soon as we walked through the door.
“Headmaster sir. Fallon said the monster was in her house,” answered Llewella. “We decided to come to you. You should know after all.”
Ambrose nodded. “Is this true Fallon?” he asked turning to me.
I nodded. My breath still gone from the frightening experience.
“Well then, it seems that I have been forced to do the unthinkable,” mutters Ambrose. Did he mean he had to use Ancient Magic? We learned in school that the Headmaster could only use Ancient Magic in an emergency.
“I must use Ancient Magic.”
I knew it.
Ambrose went over the bookshelf and pulled out a think, dusty, old book. I recognized it as the Book of Secrets. It had the test that chose your school. Everyone knew about it.
He flipped to near the back, past the test pages. I always wondered what was in the back of the book. The page had many odd symbols on it.
“This has the spell of protection. But I cannot read it but I can translate it to the Wizard Language, which I can translate to something readable. But I can guarantee that it will bet the all-correct translation. It might take a few days but as long as the creature doesn’t make another attack we shall be fine.”
“Alright,” said Llewella. I said nothing. As I looked at the page the symbols began to rearrange themselves. They began to form words that I could read.
“It says words,” I say.
“Indeed it does Fallon, but none no one can read.”
“No. This says ‘two moon diamonds’ and this here says ‘one sphinx tongue.’” I grabbed a piece of paper and a quill and scribbled down the page in something readable.
Spells of Protection
To make a spell of protection, one must gather these ingredients for the basic protection. For a more advanced protection spell, one must only add the essence of the one whom they wish restrict from certain parts.
Basic Protection
Two moon diamonds (for substance)
One tongue of a sphinx (for presence)
One eye of newt (for sight)
Three blades of Lethal Grass (for protection of presence)
Solid magic shields of each school (for protection of magic)
(Advanced: essence of one whom you wish to restrict)
I set the quill down. “That’s all it says.” I looked up at Llewella and Ambrose. They were looking at me like I had grown a second head and turned orange with blue spots and had the height of a Stormzilla.
“How did you know that? Last I knew you could barely read regular words! Now you’re reading Hyrosighns!” exclaims Llewella.
I shrug. “At least it’s better than a rough idea of what it says found over the period of a few days. Now we can get this stuff quicker.”
“Not so fast Fallon,” stopped Ambrose. “Do you even know what some of this stuff is?” I shook my head. Llewella did too. “Moon diamonds are extremely rare and can only be found in the Mines of Silence.”
The Mines of Silence were the mines where the Kroks used to make the Manders mine silver and pure ore. They have long since been blocked off and have been collapsing sometimes.
“And Lethal Grass is extinct. It used to grow in Dragonspyer but when the Titan army attacked and the whole place was destroyed , so was the Lethal Grass. That is impossible to find because there is none,” finished Ambrose. “Arthur Wethersfield might have eye of newt and tongue of sphinx. And we can get solid magic shields of every school but Balance because there is no shield for that school.”
“But couldn’t some family have an heir loom of Lethal Grass? I mean, there were people to lived back then. And some Mander family might have the diamond,” I protested.
Ambrose shook his head. “We know for fact those ingredients don’t exist. And even if some did exist what can we do about a Balance Shield?”
I sigh. “Fine whatever.” Paper still in hand I tracked back to my last teleportation, back to Llewella’s house. She soon appeared beside me.
“You just had to go and take the paper didn’t you?” she says.
I nod glumly. “Ambrose is wrong. I know two people who have a Moon Diamond and some left over Lethal Grass. As for the Balance shield, I think I can use that Tower Shield which activates for any school.”
“Well, if you say so.”
“I think that monster is after certain people. We have to protect Wizard City at all costs. And I think it might come after me again.”
“Alright. But I’m coming with you.”
“Of course you are. The people are your parents.”

Oh yeah.
Please ignore spelling and such. I told you, only half edited.
:(
Whatever.
I know some of you may have read it already (Alex) but part two will probably be up by..... tomorrow. So I think you can bear with me.
:)

Also, did any of you know that Erica Dragonflame and Grace Star are actually my alts? Yup, I killed off two of my own wizards. Erica is Ice and Grace is Life. I was on Grace actually when I met Luke. Ah, fortune cookie times......

Awesome quote (from DQIX): "Dearie me, the poor idiot thinks he's turned into a mortal. Lucky there are no mirrors around." ~Stella (that 'idiot' is a giant lizard. And he thinks he's human and has fallen in love with a stuck up queen. * shakes head in wonder and confusion *)
I'm probably gonna have a post up sooner or later about Dragon Quest since I've been absolutely ADDICTED to it lately. So..... that might be in the post after next (cause the next is gonna be part two, you have my word).

As for other news..... there was this massive snow storm that was supposed to blow through on Wednesday.
....
Weathermen lie.
It's blowing through right now. Snow, ice, rain.... ouch.

Anyway, I gotta go.

Parvus puer portat gladius ad therma

Ok. So that's Latin right there. I'm pretty sure I got 'therma' wrong. It means bath hosue or something in Rome. Like the public pool today.

Anyway, I'm just trying to make this interesting before I start ranting about Grub Guardian on KI Free Games. BECAUSE IT IS JUST SO AMAZINGLY EPIC!!

Ok, maybe a little overreacting there. It's pretty cool. It's like tower defense. And you get to use your own character with your own pet. So I'm using Zeus, my fierce hound. The pet tower is pretty awesome. And the things you plant are even better. And Ambrose's Wrath (or something) is seriously epic.

I was playing and it was so easy it was crazy. But then it got kinda hard.
Scarab's are amazing in this one level. I had like, 600 some-odd silver from defeating things so much. And usually I'm stuck with nearly no silver. The storm ones are pretty cool. Well, no, that's an understatement. Storm, Life (when you upgrade it enough), and Balance are the best towers. But Fire and Ice are pretty good. Ice slows monsters down and Fire sets monsters heads on fire. Now how cool is that??

Also, I have my history midterm tomorrow, NOT during midterm week. So on the day I would have history I have the midterm scored discussion. Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that somehow we got to like the 18th amendment and how it banned alcohol and then how NASA was formed because it was bunch of drunk guys racing cars.
Besides the point, I realized that I think the words 'moon' and 'shine' are optional for first and seconds parts of a name. So I investigated.

Ok. So you have 'moon' as an option. Good job KI!! I swear 'shine' was an option at one point.... but I can't really remember. At least that don't have it. I like moon better anyway.

Now moving on.
Remember that wizard101 fan-fic I started a little bit ago called School of Shadow? Well, I started it again. I think I like this start better.
It's a little bit more... what's the right word.... it goes with the general flow of fan-fictions a bit more. Like, the wizard is an orphan or something, they have special abilities. Then one day an owl appears and then they're wisked off to Wizard City. I'm not SO NOT saying that's a bad thing.
I swear it on my life, every single fan fiction I have ever read has been absolutely fantabulawesome supercalafragalisticexpealidotious!!!!!!
I think I spelled the second word wrong. Oh well. I'm speaking the truest truth.

I guess you can just read if you want. I like how I described the shadow school in the start of the first one I wrote so I might make it the same description. But a different character.
Chapter one isn't finished yet, it's only like six pages or so. But still.
Here's the first part of chapter one.
Enjoy!!
C:
----------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter One
I like lemons. It’s a weird fact about me. I absolutely adore lemons. I could eat them all day. I ate three whole lemons at once you know. I didn’t get sick either like some people would after eating half a lemon.
Nobody understands though. Neither do I. I would love to though. It’s like the secret of life. Why does Anjellica love lemons?
Why, that’s me. I’m Anjellica Silverwillow. And I love lemons. I like other foods too. Grape fruit, seaweed, Greek bananas (rice rolled up in lettuce, I have no idea how they got banana from that). I can also hold my breath longer than anyone (around eight minutes, maybe more), run longer (marathon, 2.56 hours), and a variety of other things.
I don’t know why I can do it. The smart tang of lemons doesn’t bother me. The water pressure on my lungs while underwater isn’t immense. The sweat and heat of the sun practically cools me down while I run. Why? Is that not normal? Because that seems to be the only thing people care about these days.
Being normal.
I mean, I still have to look after myself. It’s not like I’m some almighty, half magical, um.... offspring of some, oh I don’t know, great wizard right? How ridiculous is that? I still pull muscles, get dehydrated, headaches, chicken pox, I even broke my wrist once.
Some people call me the “Aerovane.” It’s some sort of instrument that measures wind and stuff. Like a stick bends up or down to show whether or not a storm is coming. The reason? It’s like I can.... predict the weather before it happens.
So, I guess you could say I’m slightly discriminated. I’m Anjellica the Aerovane, what’d you expect?
Days drag by slowly. Like molasses. No, slower. If that’s possible of course. I get to Monday and I wish it were Friday. School is hard. I’m smart and all. I catch on quickly but there’s nothing for me at school. Or at home. Arguing parents. Hospitalized older sister (from a car accident), strict dad, couldn’t-care-less mom.
I have nothing.
Or, wait. That’s a lie. I have something. A secret. I secret I haven’t told anyone. Something all to myself. Something no one can take away from me. Why? Because it’s part of me. You’d have to kill me I guess to take it. Even then you couldn’t take it because it’d die with me.
I call it my Ultraviolet. Like one of the types of radiation. The more sever type. Only this is totally harmless.
I can pour water from my hand.
Sure, lots of people can cup water into their hand then pour it back out. Or fill a glass up with water and pour that out. But can you simple just create water in your hand and then pour it out? Nah, didn’t think so. Pretty sure only I can do that. Now how epic is that?
But, was it bound to stay hidden forever? I never imagined my secret getting out. I was careless, that’s all. I may be smart, I may be able to endure more than others, but can I still be careless? I’m still human aren’t I?
Actually, I wonder about that sometimes...
But that’s besides the point. The point is that I let my secret slip. And suddenly my life was upside down, reversed sideways, twisted three times, and then tied into a knot and is now hanging over a boiling cauldron of absolute doom.
How nice is that?
It was a day like any other day. Boring old school. Boring old teachers. Finally the day was over. It was late October and I decided to walk home. It was only a mile and a half so I had nothing to worry about. But I waited till all the buses had left before I started I wanted to be alone for a while. Even if it was just for half an hour (slow walking that is).
It was windy but the sky only held wisps of clouds that glowed a crimson orange in the setting sun. I always believed sunsets to be spirits waiting to capture the wish or some poor soul and make it come true. So I made a wish. I had before and they had never some true, but I still did it anyway.
I stop walking, close my eyes for a moment and let my wish flutter in my mind, waiting to be captured.
I wish I could get away from here.’
It was a simple wish. I bet lots of teenagers wish it. Well, normal ones anyway. See? I could be normal sometimes. It’s not like I was eating lemons 24 / 7.
I open my eyes and it seems to be a lot darker than it was before. The wind had picked up. The sky suddenly clouded over, the sun hidden. A bleak gray color was cast over everything. With the sun almost gone it made it even darker.
I push my flying hair out of my face and try to figure out how far away from home I was. Did that street sign say Arrow Avenue? That’s where my house was. I fight the wind up to the sign. Nope, Narra St, privet drive.
I sigh. I had never heard of this street before. During my thinking time I must’ve walked too far. What now? This part of town looked totally wrong. The grass looked too green. That building, was it made of stone? I squint but then ti seemed like wood again. I turn around. Through blowing tree branches and my flying hair I make out a pond. There was no pond for miles in my town. But I blink and it’s gone, replaced by a stone road.
A dizzy spell wraps around my head and I close my eyes. This was a bad dream. I must’ve fallen and hit my head hard. I open my eyes momentarily to see several stone houses in a row, a light on in one. A house. I should get help.
I stumble froward. I don’t notice the road really is stone. That a pound was thrashing it’s waters behind me. That the grass was way to green and cut too perfectly to be where I lived.
I grab for the door and my hand lands against it painfully. I clutch it too my chest and close my eyes to stop the pounding my brain and hand. I fee light headed. Terribly dizzy.
With a sigh, I realize I can’t feel the wind. And soon I can’t feel myself. Then finally I feel like nothing at all.
***
The soft head of a fire is the first thing I feel. Then I realize I’m much to comfortable to be lying on the ground. I had fainted or something right? Or, not really. Not like some prissy lady from Shakespearean times. More like, I would say, I had lost consciousness. I begin to life my head up but my vision goes haywire and I plop it back down which only makes it worse.
Ah, are you awake?” I hear someone ask. I women, maybe late 20’s by her voice.
Am I?” I ask. “I don’t feel it.” My voice sounds far away. I still feel dizzy.
Well, I should hope so. It would not be good if you died on us. Not sure why you were out after curfew.”
Not I was more confused. “I don’t have a curfew.”
Come now. All students have a curfew. Twilight it would be for most. Luminaries are two before midnight.”
Luminaries?”
Yes. Wizards who are level 70. But I doubt it’ll stay that way for long. So many new worlds are being discovered that need saving.”
I’m not sure I understand,” I say. “Wizards? Level 70? New worlds?” I pause. “Where am I?”
Wizard City my dear. Wizard City.”
I open my eyes and gasp. I can’t even try to hide it. This whole time I’ve been talking to a cow! The cow lady seems shocked, and slightly offended. “I’m sorry. Do you not recognize me? Perhaps you’ve hit your head rather hard.”
I... I... I’m sorry it’s just... Where I come from cows.... don’t talk.”
Where exactly are you from anyway? I can’t say that I’ve seen you before.”
Starraburgh,” I say.
Can’t say I know where that is. Perhaps we should talk to the Headmaster. Merle Ambrose.” I nod. As long as he wasn’t a cow I think I’m all good. But, last night. During the storm. The world had been... changing. The pond. The stone rode. The stone houses. The grass. Was I still dreaming?
I sit up but my visions swirls badly and I lean back and look at the ceiling.
Oh dear. Perhaps he’ll come here. You’re not well enough yet. I’ll be right back.”
I watch her leave out the door. In the quick glimpse of the outside that I see is strange. Sunny, such green grass, and a human. Like me. Maybe my age. But dressed in the craziest Halloween costume I’ve ever seen.
Then the door is shut and all I see is the wooden design of a leaf with a spiral underneath it. I look around some more. It looked, normal. Only, not normal at the same time. There was no TV, or faucet. No carpet (unless you count the small floor carpet, it was not a wall-to-wall one. The window was small but it let in a lot of light. There was no ceiling light, but there were many candles.
Sitting up slowly I was able to see more. There was a flight of stairs. But instead of an open hallway, it ended in a door. There was a bookshelf with many books on it. Several shelves actually. It wasn’t like this was some alien world. It all looked normal in a way someone here might decorate it.
I swing my legs over the side of the couch (as I found out). The floor was not cold. It seemed to be mid afternoon by thy brightness of the sun. I find I’m still in my school clothes; jeans and a neon green t-shirt. My shoes were gone, so were my socks. So was y backpack.
Suddenly the door opens, startling me, and in walks a very old man with a long write beard and a monocle who was waking like an Olympic champion, with the cow lady.
Ah! Nice to see you up and about miss,” says the old man. “I am Merle Ambrose, Headmaster of the Ravenwood Academy of Magical Arts. And this is Moolinda Wu, Life Professor. Who also healed you. And may I ask your name...?”
Anjellica,” I say. “But I named myself. I don’t like that name all that much.”
Last name?” asks the Headmaster.
Silverwillow.”
He seems to freeze. So does the cow, I mean, Moolinda. The wind seems to die, the birds stop chirping, and a cloud passes over the sky.
It seems to stay like that forever but then the world seems to move again. Ambrose shakes his head. “Well, my, ah, dear. How nice to meet you. Anjell–“
Can I change it?” I interrupt. “My first name. I don’t like Anjellica.”
Well, um, of course! Moolinda, what do you think?”
Moolinda puts a hoof to her chin and seems to think. “Well, the name could be... Iridian? Or perhaps Destiny. Maybe Juliet?”
I shake me head. Ambrose starts suggesting. “Rowan. Devin. Sarah. Caroline. Emily. Alura. Victoria. Danielle.”
I shake my head.
While they continue to list off names I get up and walk over to the bookshelf. I pull down a purple book and open it up to a random page.
Days were slow and the rain fell all day and all night. I wondered when I could find the Sorceress who would help me. I needed the help. I had to save my mom and little sister. From the disease.
What had they said? The northern clan. The Sorceresses name was.... Suri.’
I stop reading. Suri. I liked that. I turn around to find Moolinda and Ambrose looking at me intently. “Wind and Rain,” whispers Moolinda. I look at the cover. ‘Wind and Rain’ was the title. I smile. I did like storms after all.
Suri it shall be then,” says Ambrose happily. “Welcome to Wizard City Suri!”
Silverwillow,” I add. “My name is Suri Silverwillow.” I see Ambrose tense. Moolinda does too. What was the matter with my last name?
Perhaps you should change your last name,” says Moolinda. “Entirely up to you. You’re a wizard by the looks of it. Wizards always change their last name when they officially start school.”
But, how do you guys know I’m even a wizard?” I contradict.
Well, for one you picked up the book ‘Wind and Rain.’ Written by a Storm Wizard. And you chose the name ‘Suri’ which means ‘rain’ in our ancient language. Last night when you appeared on the doorstep of this family’s door it was raining. It the fiercest storm I had ever seen, and I’ve been alive a while. All those facts point to one fact: you are anything if not destined to be a Diviner.”
Wait a minute,” I say. “This isn’t you house? I have to say sorry to this family! For collapsing on their doorstep like that last night!”
You’ll get you chance, don’t worry Suri. Why, here’s Mrs. Duneriver now!” exclaims Ambrose. A young women comes in carrying a basket of fruits. She starts when she sees us.
Oh! Why hello Headmaster, Moolinda, and...” She gives me the look grownups give when they’re waiting for you to introduce yourself.
Suri,” I say. I decided to leave out my last name since it caused so much trouble.
Well, glade to see you’re feeling better Suri. Me and my husband were really worried when we heard you knocking. We could barely hear it over the wind.”
Well, thanks for letting me stay. I appreciate it greatly.” I look at her basket. I spot a lemon. Four actually. “How can I make it up to you?”
Oh, there’s not need really.”
No, I’m sure I can do something.” Then it hits me. Lemons + favor needing to be repaid = me cooking.
I cooked a lot in my house. Mom was too lazy. Dad was usually out all night. Sister was, well, eating hospital foods.
I can cook something. I cooked a lot at my house with the ingredients I had available. I made an entire three coarse dinner one.”
I’m not sure...”
I can bake you a pie,” I suggest. “A lemon one.”
Well, I did just get lemons...”
Do you have sugar? Eggs? Tarter? If no tarter I can make that too.”
And what exactly do those things make?”
I smile. “A lemon meringue pie.”
***
Two and a half hours later I was pulling out a lemon meringue pie from the stone oven. Delina, who insisted ‘Mrs. Duneriver’ was far to formal, had to teach me how to use many things. Like water had to be taken from the pond outside and boiled to be cleansed. The ‘fridge’ was a low cellar where, though it was at least 90 degrees outside, it was probably 15 degrees to keep things cool.
Delina said it would be easier to get fresh water, already hot or just plain cold, if there was a Diviner in the family. Or to keep the cold cellar closer is they had a Thaumaturge.
Delina and David (her husband) were both Pyromancers, Fire Wizards. Their daughter Cathrine was a Theurgist, a Life Wizard.
Ambrose had said to me to come by his office the next afternoon to decide what kind off Wizard I would be.
Meanwhile Delina took me shopping. I saw more people in the crazy costumes, but I finally decided that this was normal. Everything I thought weird was normal. Everything I thought normal was weird. Which was why they had destroyed my cell phone in my backpack because they thought it was dangerous.
Of course, it wasn’t like I had service here anyways.
I ended up with a Beginners Robe, Hate, and Boots. With a base color of black and a trim of dark blue. Then I walked back to Delia’s home in the Commons.
I also made dinner, seasoned beef, tender to the touch, basted in garlic sauce with a side of lemon sprig (a salad, consisting mostly of lemon zest, lettuce, shredded carrots with a lemon based dressing).
Delina finally asked me why I liked lemons so much.
I don’t know,” I respond while shredding the lemon rind into lemon zest. “Other people can barely eat a slice yet I can eat a whole one at every meal.”
It must be unhealthy in some way.”
I shrug. “I don’t know. I’ve never gotten sick, my teeth never rotted, or lost enamel, whichever. “
Enamel isn’t on your teeth,” corrects Delina.
Same difference,” I say. We both laugh.
Mr. Duneriver (or, David) and Cathrine got home just in time for dinner. Like Ambrose had said that children of wizards had different last names, Cathrine was not Cathrine Duneriver but Cathrine Soulmender.
Delina had said her maiden name was Dreamflame, but she when she married David she could either keep her name, or change it to Duneriver, and she had changed it.
Soon the next day was here. Delina ushered me to the Headmaster’s Tower. I went in alone. No one else was in there but me and the Headmaster.
He says nothing, only holds out a thick book that looks like it has been here since the beginning of time. I look up at him and he nods. I open the book and view a multiple choice questions.
What is you favorite time of day?
Morning.
Noon.
Night.
I think. Well, lemons like sun. I point to ‘noon.’ All other words fade from the page, leaving only the word ‘noon’ there. I flip the page.
What is you favorite animal?
Dragon.
Unicorn.
Polar bear.
Serpent.
Scorpion.
I tap ‘dragon.’ Once again, all other words fade and I flip the page again. I answer quite a few of these questions. Around nine or ten. Finally I come to a very hard question.
What is your favorite gem stone?
Ruby.
Onyx.
Amethyst.
Peridot.
Well, I was at a conundrum. I love amethyst’s. Their purple is so shiny and beautiful. Yet a peridot is yellow! The lovely color of delicious lemons!
----------------------------------------------------------------
So, that's all I have so far.

Oh, and I just remembered. I never translated the sentence for you!!
It goes like this:
"The small boy carried a sword to the bath house."
Yeah, I really need to study my Latin. I have to memorize 136 words.
O.O

So, I best be going.
Laterz!
